Taya Sands is a 2023 defender for the Strikers ECNL club. She is a regular starter on the back line who tackles like a truck, wins her 50/50 battles and has a strong leg and good vision for distributing the ball around the pitch. Taya moves her feet well and has good positioning on defense. She is tough to beat in a 1 vs 1 battle and is a good communicator and leader on defense.
Academically in the classroom Taya carries a 4.6 GPA and wants to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice and Law in college.
