Tahlaya Kell was a 2022 grad defender for the City SC Girls Academy 04 team who committed to Alabama AM University a mid major D1 program on scholarship. She started 14 out of 16 games she played in this year for AM logging more minutes than nearly every freshman on the team. She played primarily on the backline as a strong physical, defender that reads the game well. She also plays as a defensive mid when needed. She is good in the air, can distribute from the back and find downfield targets, and is composed under pressure. She is in the transfer portal as of Mid November and is open to considering all teams that have competitive soccer programs and good academics.
Prior to college ball, Tahlaya’s City SC GA team was ranked top 25 in the nation by youth soccer rankings. Prior to joining City SC GA she played for the Rebels ECNL 03 team an age group up for her underclassmen years. She has a 3.63 GPA and is still open for what major she wants to pursue.
