Sophie Merrifield is a 5’7 athletic forward and wing from Lone Peak, Utah. Sophie plays club for Northern Peaks, one of the top 4 premier teams for her age group in the state. Sophie is a regular starter for them. She’s a good passer, dribbler and prides herself on having a good first touch and clean technical play. She has been a four-year Varsity team member since her freshman year where Lone Peak High won the state championship that year.
Sophie can score both left and right footed, but her favorite thing to do is combination play or a good cross or through ball to set up her teammates. She sees the field well and times her passes to hit her teammates in stride. She also takes the corner kicks for her team as well as set pieces on occasion. Sophie has a 3.76 GPA and scored a 24 on her ACT.
