About
Shelby Nickal is an athletic powerful forward/acmid who is passionate about soccer and training. She started as an attacking player for the Baltimore Armour Girls Academy team and is from Paducah, Kentucky. She traveled to play club there to be a part of a more competitive atmosphere and compete in the best leagues possible, but she has lived in Florida this year for training and just joined a very competitive Krush ECNL 03/04 team this month.
The thing I like most about Shelby is how hard she plays the game. She’s flying around the field, making runs, pressuring opponents’ backline, breaking up passes, going hard into tackles, and laying her body on the line for headers or even bicycle kicks. She wants to win and is super competitive. She can post up on players and create space to get off shots, she switches the ball well and can find the gaps to play through balls in. Shelby puts in personal training workouts weekly with Eddie Johnson (MLS). Her competitiveness runs in her family, her older brother won a World Championship in wrestling recently and she has the same work ethic and drive.
Shelby wants to play for a competitive team in college that is attacking minded. She has a 3.9 GPA and wants to pursue a degree in Business or Communications.
