About
Shayla Addington who is a very fast physical defender or outside mid for her Real Colorado Athletico 04 ECNL team. She is the anchor for her backline and a consistent performer for them that is strong, physical, fast and smart, reading the game and angles well, running down through balls and intercepting them regularly. She plays Center back quite often, but also does really well at outside back and mid. I can see her doing really well as an outside back for a mid major D-1 program.
Her strongest characteristics are her leadership and communication skills, reading the game, and her heading ability. Literally she gets up for tons of headers on defense and offense when she gets the opportunity. First team All-League multiple years, also two years All-State as a defender for Colorado. Shayla is a dedicated student in the classroom as well posting a 4.03 weighted GPA and a 3.97 unweighted one, while scoring a 1320 on her SAT test the first time taking it. She wants to major in Bio or Pre-med. So good soccer and academic schools there that fit her description is what she’s looking for.
