About
Reese Palmer is an athletic 5’7 Center Back or outside back who committed to NCAA D1 UW Green Bay, but was behind a few talented upperclassmen CB’s her freshman year, so she utilized her redshirt year. After her freshman year of school, she decided that the balmy weather of northern Wisconsin wasn’t a good fit for her so she transferred back home to play for San Diego Mesa JC for her sophomore year. Reese was a starting defender for SD Mesa helping to lead them to a 7-4-3 conference record and a 4th place finish out of 10 teams in probably the top JC conference in California.
Prior to her two years in college, Reese was a team captain and every game starter for her San Diego Strikers Premier team that qualified for nationals. That team was then absorbed into West Coast FC her senior year and they competed in the DPL bracket that season finishing top 10 in the nation. Reese is fast, can close down the ball well. She has good dribbling skills when needed and can get out of a bind and up the field into the attack. She’s a good 1 vs 1 defender who prefers if possible to stay in the Western US to play. Looking for a small D1 or a quality D2 program to transfer to.
