Monique Alvarez is a dynamic attacking player that has succeeded at the highest club levels of the game. She is a gifted dribbler that is a take on artist and can do some brilliant fakes and moves to free up space and beat players. Her strongest positions are as a forward or an outside defender that consistently gets up the flanks and into the attack. Monique can also play effectively on the wing or as a withdrawn forward. Monique committed to NCAA D1 Grambling State University where she played in every game for the Tigers, starting six of them and notching one assist from the midfield.

Prior to college Monique was a key player for the Surf Soccer Club DA program for 8th and 9th grade when the team won a national championship. Monique then switched to Albion DA her sophomore year and they also competed in the national championships. Covid essentially cancelled her junior season, so she switched back to a former coach at Rebels ECNL where she currently plays. She starts at forward for her Rebels ECNL team. The two years of high school she was able to play she was her team’s leading scorer helping lead them to the Semi-finals in CIF and two league titles while aaat Christian High in CA. She has a 3.5 GPA academically. She wants the full college experience so a good sized University to attend with a student body that is involved in the sports there.
