Mia Ruffalo is an athletic shot stopping GK from the class of 2026 who just switched from West Coast FC’s GA 07 team where she was playing up a year as the teams starting keeper, over to Sporting CA ECNL as most of her previous team graduated and is playing in college now. Mia was one of the only starting junior’s on the team. She’s excited to have the opportunity to compete at the ECNL level for Sporting CA’s 07/08 team this fall.
Mia is 5’8, is a good vocal leader and organizer for her defense. Mia has a strong leg for goal kicks, punts and distribution and is skilled at connecting passes downfield. She has good range and mobility coming off her line to intercept crosses or to win 1 vs 1 opportunities. Mia logged 24 clean sheets out of 34 matches between club and high school she played in last year. She is open to playing anywhere in the country. She loves to train and work hard and is aiming for a competitive D1 program.
In the classroom Mia is a strong student with a 3.75 GPA. She wants to study Kinesiology or Sports Med in college.
