Marko Kononenko is an athletic 5’10 shot stopping Goal keeper born in Ukraine and recently immigrated to the United State with his family in 2022. While in Ukraine Marko was the starting goalkeeper for the top youth league in the country playing in the Ukraine Elite League and Kyiv Top League Championship. He was the first team keeper for FC Atlet and was selected as the MVP in the C Metalist Kharkiv. He was selected in 2021 as the MVP for FC Arsenal Kyiv vs Fc Atlet where he had 9 saves in a big game and held his opponent to a 0-0 score before winning in a shootout.

Prior to coming to America, Marko had trial opportunities with Juventus in Poland March-June of 2022, and then with Ratingen Germany July-August 2022.
