Leslie Duarte

About

Leslie Duarte is a box to box center midfielder who is extremely gifted with the ball. She plays for the Phoenix Rising ECNL 05 team primarily as an attacking center mid, but also does well creating plays at the 10 position. Leslie is crafty off the dribble and has the ability to take on multiple players, free up space and create shots and combination play. She sees the field well and can distribute. She is a good communicator directing traffic and calling for the ball.

Leslie is versatile and plays both sides of the ball hustling back on defense, and then sprinting from the defensive third into the attacking third in transition to make a play. Prior to joining the Phoenix Rising ECNL team this past year Leslie played for the Utah Royals GA team. Leslie is top 3 on her team in scoring and top 2 for assists. She has had a handful of D1 teams reach out and call or talk to her coach about her play with interest. She is looking to find the right school and commit this winter or early Spring.

Leslie has a 3.72 GPA and wants to pursue a major that will help prepare her to be a physical therapist someday.
