About

Kyra Taylor is a very gifted, speedy and technical striker. She is a Sophomore in college at La Tech currently, a two year starter and leading scorer for the team. Kyra made 1st Team All-Conference in 2023, made the Conf USA All-Freshman Team and she was honored as the Conference USA Freshman of the year in 2023. She scored 9 goals that year and was named to the Louisiana Sports Writers 1st Team All-College team. She was named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100 Freshman list. She set a new school record that year as the only freshman ever to score multiple goals in three games in a season.

She led the team in scoring in 2024 as well, but the team’s scoring production was way down as a whole. She played forward and outside mid for them, and made LWSA’s honorable mention All-Louisiana team this year. Prior to playing at La Tech, Kyra was a standout ECNL player for the Dallas Texas team and was featured after a number of events as a standout performer. Kyra carries a 4.0 GPA in college, and wants a degree in psychology. She prefers to play close to her home state of Texas and is looking for a very competitive team. She is looking at only competitive D1 programs for transfer options this May.
