Kennedy Floyd

Kennedy Floyd is an outside midfielder and outside defender that can move! She’s extremely fast and very dynamic every time she gets the ball. Kennedy is the starting outside mid / outside defender from Houston Dash 03 GA team. She had over a dozen D1 schools talking to her the summer heading into her junior year, but she had just torn her ACL so most wanted to see how she recovered. She is 15 months post ACL surgery now and fully recovered playing without a brace the last 4 months. Kennedy is brilliant on the ball can dominate the flanks getting into the attack, creating a lot of scoring opportunities for her team with crosses as well as being one of the leading scorers on her team herself. She has the ability to do a fake and blow by defenders to get into the final third. For years she played outside back and did a great job to shut down other fast forwards as she is strong, fast and go’s hard into tackles. Coaches saw how valuable she was at getting into the attack and creating scoring chances so she’s played a lot more outside mid and even forward the last few years. 

Prior to GA, she was a regular starter at the DA level starting all 22 games in 2018-2019. She is physical and uses her body well to win the ball in defensive situations. She doesn’t back down from tackles. And she has a good first touch and is technical.  Academically Kennedy has a 3.8 weighted GPA, 3.6 unweighted. Her film is from after her surgery play.
