Karlie Greenthal is a 5’6 starting center back for her top 20 nationally ranked SC Wave GA 05 team. Karlie is a regular starter on the teams back line, she makes good decisions after she wins the ball completing 2nd and third tier passes downfield and has the smarts to pull it back and swing it when needed and not rush the play. She is well coached and sound technically and tactically. She provides good shifting, support and leadership for her team to shore up gaps in the back and minimize opponents opportunities.

Karlie is calm on the ball, has good 1 vs 1 defensive technique in the open field, she moves her feet and doesn’t stab frequently like many defenders I watch these days. She uses her body to win and protect the ball. Karlie also can play effectively as a defensive center mid. Academically She has a 4.0 GPA and is taking her tests soon.
