Izzy Destefano

About

Isabel Destefano is an athletic 5’8 forward and outside mid. She started her freshman year for both club and varsity high school scoring 4 goals and 7 assists as a true-freshmen in the midfield. She was out her sophomore with a knee injury, and post covid break came back to be the leading scorer for her team this year with 11 goals and three assists, All-Conference, All-Region team and offensive MVP.

Izzy is looking to play a key role for a successful Division 1 or D3 competitive athletic and academic program. She’s got a strong cross and shot and is ambidextrous, so you can see her scoring and crossing with both her left and right feet. She is proficient at using all surfaces of her foot and can dribble, pass and shoot with her laces and outside of her foot with power. She takes the majority of her team’s corner kicks and has a blast for a shot.

Izzy is strong in the classroom as well and wants to pursue a Bio or Chem degree as part of her pre-med future ambitions. She has a 4.0 GPA and scored a 33 on her ACT. She is looking for the right competitive fit. She also played in the GA playoffs this year as a guest player for the Houston Dash 03 team and may guest play for them in the future as well.
