About
Hailey Gadd has been the starting center back for La Roca’s DA/ECNL program as an anchor for their back line since 2017 and has been a regular on the Utah ODP State team since 2015. She’s very strong in the air, great at anticipating and reading plays to jump passes and break them up. She shifts well and provides support, has a strong leg and is very aggressive and physical as a 5’6 defender.
She is an impact player with no problem challenging or bodying up with players of any size or at any level. One of her best qualities is her distribution ability from the back as she can calmly, accurately and consistently connect with targets downfield.
This past season, she was a team captain and anchored the back line of her Davis High School team, which was the top defense in the state with only 6 goals scored against it. She was also selected as a Utah State 6A All-Star starting center back. During the 2020 season, her team was nationally ranked going 19-1 and had only 11 goals scored against it, and won the 6A Utah State Championship where Hailey anchored their backline as an All-Conference All-Area selection for the team.
