Haylie Villalpando is the starting outside back for Colorado Pride’s ECNL 06 team. Haylie reads the game really well, anticipates passees defensively to win the ball and has great 1 vs 1 defending technique and footwork. She transitions well into the attack on the flanks, she can serve a good diagonal ball cross. She isn’t afraid to head the ball in a crowd or body up to win the ball in a tackle. Haylie is open to playing anywhere as long as it is a good fit. In high school ball she played as an All-League player at outside mid as a freshman and then was named two time 1st team All-Conference as a striker her sophomore and junior seasons while taking top scorer and League MVP this past year. She has a cannon for a shot.
