About
Eve Laycock is a dynamic starting outside defender who plays on La Roca FC’s 05 ECNL team. This team is coached by Pancho Ovalle and won the UYSA 2021 National Championship for U16. Eve is relentless when it comes to shutting down the opposing teams star players and winning her 1 vs 1 battles. She is good at possession and connecting passes with teammates downfield.
Her speed and agility allow her to capitalize on opportunities to get the ball to the goal. Her strength in the air allows her to be a target player on corner kicks and set pieces near the goal as she frequently creates scoring chances in the air.
Eve exhibits leadership on and off the field and is highly respected by her coaches for her ability to take direction and bring it quickly to the game. She is talented but also motivated and hardworking, going above and beyond what is required of her.
In the classroom Eve is a dedicated student with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and scored a 31 on her ACT. She hopes to study exercise science or a health science related degree with the aim of later obtaining a master’s in occupational therapy where she can work with children.
