About

Sean Mackey is one of the top youth shooters in England. He averaged 19.8 points per game as a senior, setting records with 12 three pointers in a game, and averaging 43 percent behind the three point arc as a shooting and point guard. At 6’3 he is nimble, athletic and has great form getting his shot up and consistently in. He was a key player for the U18 Men’s National Champions in the UK, was selected as the U17 National player of the year, and First Team All-Conference. He was invited to the U18 Great Britain training camp, Ireland’s national team camp, and was named as an All-Star for the Euro Leagues (EYBL) in both stage 1 and stage 2 against Europe’s top amatuer players.

Sean’s older sister is an NCAA D1 college soccer coach here in the US, and Sean wanted to play in America, so he decided for his gap year to sign on with a prep school for the 2025-2026 season with Lee Academy in Maine with U19 players. They play against regional Junior College teams, small college teams, and other prep academy programs throughout New England. Sean is averaging 10.9 points per game for Lee Academy shooting 44 percent behind the arc, and 3 assists per game, while seeing 15 minutes per game as they rotate players for experience. Sean has put up double figures in some of the games versus college teams and looks forward to his next step of playing at the University level this fall. He has a 3.5 GPA in school and is open to playing anywhere in the country that’s a good fit.
