About
Rowan LaPiano is the starting attacking midfielder who leads her Real CO Athletico ECNL 05 team in assists. Rowan is very gifted at using dribble penetration to exploit the space in front of her, pushing the tempo of the transition to get into the attack and beat players off the dribble to create scoring chances for herself and her teammates. She is a tireless worker and has the tactical awareness to read the game and make an impact. She has an attack first mindset but knows when to slow things down and move the ball around.
Rowan has great footwork and can do moves in tight spaces to get by defenders. In addition to acmid, she can play both forward and outside mid with precision. She was a varsity starter her first two years of high school making first Team All-Conference for 5A both years and was honored as an All-State player this year while being honored as Offensive MVP. Rowan has a strong leg for crosses and can blast shots on goal with power from 35 yards out and score. Her Real ECNL U17 team finished top 32 in the country for the Champions League. She was selected for the ODP West Inter-regional team, US YNT Training Center Invitee, US Youth National Futsal team member, She is listed as a 3 Star Top Drawer recruit and ranked top 100 in the country in 2024 for top Midfielders. She’s had a handful of D1 top 100 programs reach out to her coaches already with interest.
Academically she has a 3.9 GPA and wants a Media/Film Studies or Sports marketing degree. She would like a college that is small to midsize that is competitive both academically and athletically. Rowan just verbally committed to DU.
