About
Obi Jarrah is a D1 transfer on scholarship at UTRGV this year as a junior where he was a starting center back and outside back for them. But got a concussion after the 2nd game and was out for two weeks. He came back and started again against Lindenwood who was RV’s at the time and helped the team to a 0-0 tie, and then took a knock again unfortunately and was out a month until near the end of the season.
Obi is not regularly injury prone, although this season was rough it was an anomaly, he played as a starter in every game as an All-Conference All-Region transfer for USC Sumter JC the previous two years, and is a regular for the Jordan U-20 National team squad. He played for 7 years in a professional Academy from 2018-2023 in Jordan moving all the way up to the first team for training. He is healthy now and training with the UTRGV team this spring with no complications and willingly entered the portal.
Jarrah was the team captain for USC Sumter from 2023-2024 with 33 games played, and led the team to their first ever region trophy. For the national team, he helped lead Jordan’s U20 team to the West Asia tournament semi-finals. He has full game highlights vs Lindenwood if you would like.
