Ella Blake is a 5’4 speedy and athletic starting defender for Real Colorado Athletico ECNL team. She is a good decision maker that knows where to be and when. She can run down balls over the backline and has good skill to pass out of pressure and get downfield. She has a good first touch and positions herself well on both sides of the ball to thwart opposing defenses and to maintain possession once she wins the ball. Ella is a great 1 vs 1 defender who reads the ball well, times her moment of when to step in and positions herself well not to get beat. She is consistent in her play as a reliable on the back line. She was just named 1st Team All-Conference, Defensive Player of the Year, as well as receiving a Scholar Athlete Award and Captains award.
