  • Dino ran track for four years, finishing second best in the Pac 10 Conference Championships for 100 Meter Dash only behind a 4 time Olympic medal winner.

Dino Philyaw is a former multi-sport athlete from Dudley, North Carolina. Drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 14th round out of high school, he later shifted focus to football and track at the University of Oregon, where he helped lead the Ducks to the 1995 Rose Bowl. As standout sprinter for the Oregon Ducks, Dino took second in 100 meter event at the Pac-10 track Championships just behind 4- time Olympic Medalist sprinter Ato Boldon.  Philyaw also helped the men’s 4×100 team to place 3rd in the Pac 10 championship event in 1994-1995 years. He helped elevate the Ducks Conference Standings from a 6th place finish to a 2nd place finish only behind UCLA.  Dino ran a blazing fast time in the forty yard dash at 4.31, which propelled him to his second professional sports offer.  There weren’t many athletes faster nationally than Dino. For a 195 pound 5’10 football built player, Philyaw pound for pound competed as one of the fastest in the country.

After college Dino was drafted into the pro’s for his second sport, football where he played for 5 years in the pro’s as a running back/ kick return specialist for  the New England Patriots, then the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, NFL Europe, and the XFL.
