Brooke Conover

About

Brooke Conover is a 5’8 Center mid and defender who is a dual citizen from New Zealand who moved to San Clemente, California this winter and will finish up her schooling in the states this December. She tried out for and made the Slammers ECNL team this winter and once the HS season ended in CA, began competing in games with them. Prior to moving to the US, she played in the premier leagues in NZ and is versatile with the capability to play Acmid or Def cmid, or on the back line. She has a stellar strike and can blast shots on frame from 35 yards out on set pieces, drop in consistent excellent balls on corner kicks and crack shots from range to score. She is athletic and covers ground well in the midfield and is an excellent 1 vs 1 defender in the open field moving her feet and winning the ball. She is well rounded playing both sides of the ball. She has a good first touch and control and sees the field well to distribute and make the right decision.

Brooke was a starter for her club teams and has played for the Auckland United Senior Women’s team as well as in school playing for the Saint Kentigern College First XI varsity team and was a part of the Auckland Football Federation Talent Center. Brooke also was selected for the NZ Secondary schools  U-15’s and U16s team, which is the top 18 players in the country for NZ secondary schools. Brooke was the captain for the team and an every game starter. They were the U17 National tournament champions. Brooke was also selected to the Auckland Football Federation Talent Center U17 All-Star game.

She has a 4.0 GPA and wants to pursue a degree field in Pre-Med to work towards becoming a physical therapist someday.
