About
Berkley Payne is a 5’8 Starting Defender for the Avalanche ECNL 04 team. She plays primarily Center Back and at Defensive Center mid, but can also play at outside back as well and gets up the field and into the attack. Berkley is a physical, aggressive defender with a strong build and good athleticism. She has the technical skill to get out of pressure situations beating players off the dribble to free up space to distribute the ball.
Berkley has a strong leg for set pieces and to connect with downfield teammates or for distance shots on goal. She’s good in the air and uses her body very well to win the ball, knock opponents off the ball or shield the ball to keep possession.
Academically Berkley carries a 3.85 GPA and most likely she wants to pursue a degree in business. She is open to playing anywhere in the country as long as it’s affordable and has a competitive soccer program. More film is available upon request.
