About
Abe Ashby is a 5’11 Attacking Center mid and forward who is the Captain for the La Roca ECNL 04 team. Abe is an extremely dynamic attacking player who is creative with the ball, can do moves to beat players off the dribble, reads the game well with positioning and timing on his runs to put himself in scoring situations. Abe is good off the dribble doing fakes to free up space, he’s creative with passing and has a great first touch settling the ball and pushing it into space. He has a powerful left and right footed shot you can see in his film him scoring with a left footed blast from 30 yards out to the far post, you’ll also see near the end of the film the last minute when he’s playing at outside back blast a 70 yard pass in the air over the top right in his forwards path to start the counter attack.
Abe flicks well with his head on passes and creates with combination play frequently. He’s a good leader and has been the captain for his team the last few years. He puts in extra training sessions for technical and strength training/agility 2 to 3 times a week and he’s hungry to be a dominant in college someday.
