Cal Calhoon is a true point guard with outstanding vision when running the court to see and connect passes that gives his teammates great scoring opportunities. He averaged 4.1 assists per game for one of the top teams in Wisconsin while posting a 3.24 assist to turnover ratio.
Cal is a solid 1 vs 1 defender averaging 1.8 steals per game and has shut down some of the top guards in the state. Cal averaged 8.9 points per game this season and is deadly accurate when he shoots with a 60.9 two-point FG percentage and 52.9 percent shooter overall. He has a 21.7 Plus to minus ratio. More than anything, Cal is a blue-collar player who grinds for every ball, he hustles back, he puts his team first and he is a leader on the floor. He is the engine for his team leading by example and makes the players around him better. He was a 1st Team All-Conference selection at guard and 1st Team-All Defensive Team selection as well.
He is just as committed in the posting a 4.06 cumulative GPA. He is a four sport athlete on pace to score over 100 goals in soccer as a one of the states leaders in goals to notch 1st Team All-Conference, All-State honors, and All-Conference in Golf. Cal is looking for the best competitive fit for him at basketball which is his first love.
