Kamaron Powell started 25 out of 26 games the past two years as an outside back for Grambling State University notching one goal and five assists during that time while garnering First team All-Conference honors and All-Tournament team recognition. Kam was a two year team captain for Grambling, took most of the teams set pieces from distance and on corner kicks and got involved regularly in the attack.
Kam is a strong physical player who uses her body well. She plays tight man to man defense, she has good footwork and can connect downfield to targets on passes. She’s not afraid to get stuck in on a tackle. She has a great personality, fun sense of humor and some of the best dance moves on the team. Kam will graduate from Grambling this semester with a degree in Criminal Justice. She has two years of eligibility remaining and wants to pursue a similar degree for grad school.
